Venue, Players & Atmosphere
Hosted at community center De Grote Aak in Zaltbommel, bringing players together from all across the Netherlands and neighboring countries.
At the end of the day, playing with KeyForge friends is what it is truly all about. The 2026 Dutch Nationals welcomed passionate archons from across the Netherlands alongside international travelers from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, and Belgium. Whether catching up with familiar opponents from past tournaments or forging brand new friendships across the gaming tables, the community spirit was palpable from the very first round.
Saturday was an absolute marathon—clocking in at an epic 13 hours of KeyForge across Swiss and playoff rounds. Keeping everyone energized throughout the grueling games was a quintessential Dutch lunch featuring local classics like broodje frikandel and broodje kroket, balanced with fresh broodje gezond and fruit salad.
The venue ran on a welcoming community honor system, where players kept track of their own cold drinks, coffee, and an endless supply of Dutch stroopwafel snacks between rounds. De Grote Aak proved to be the ideal cozy battlefield for high-stakes competition, laughter, and celebrated victories.
National Championship Dutch Border Decks
As a special commemorative reward, Ghost Galaxy printed exclusive National Championship Archon Decks featuring unique Dutch red-white-and-blue ribbon card borders!

Archon Championship
The big guns were brought out in the Archon tournament. Propehtic visions dominating the field, claiming all top 4 spots. Players brought out their most prized decks from throughout the game's history. After a grueling Swiss and a cut into the Top 8, LordJudo secured the 2026 Dutch National Archon title against MotilityFive in an electric finals match.

Prophetic Visions Logos dominated the field with Wild Wormhole (7 in Top 8), Parallel Thinking (4), and Hazard Zerp (4) fueling explosive turns.

Dis control staple Infurnace was the 2nd most played Swiss card (11 copies) but only 2 reached the Top 8 cut as fast combo archetypes raced ahead.

Sunday belonged to the thrill of opening fresh Draconian measures decks. Each player opened 3 brand new decks, chose their pods, and adapted instantly to unexplored card lines. In an incredible run of rapid evaluation and tactical poise, MotilityDragon claimed 1st place over Spymaster! MotilityDragon is the first player to win Back to back national titles in the same format!
